BartenderThe overriding and most important function of each employee is to either directly (by interaction) or indirectly (by providing the key support role to a guest experience) strive to provide the finest in friendly service and quality product.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Mix traditional and creative cocktailsPour wine with basic wine knowledgeProcess paymentClean glasses and bar utensilsDaily cleaning and sanitization of bar and areas surrounding barMake suggestions based on customer tastes and preferencesRecord and balance cash receipts and prepare cash depositsOpen and maintain tabs throughout their shiftBuild a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmospherePreparing and serving beveragesTaking food orders, running food orders and serving when neededUpholding local, state and federal alcohol laws to include checking identificationBe aware of and enforcing alcohol cut-off procedures.Possess a knowledge of working a register and handling money.Proper stocking and rotation of liquor, beer and wine.Knowledge of food menu to assist guest with questions.Performing daily opening and closing duties as assigned.Assists guests in a polite and expedient manner.Performs daily routine chores to ensure neat and orderly appearance of bar and restaurant.Handles and communicates with guests on a one-on-one basis in a professional, courteous manner.Maintains a business-like atmosphere in Noah's at all times.Maintain a clean and neat appearance and a professional conduct at all times including clean uniform.Basic knowledge of all departments of the resort.Other duties as assigned by ManagerRequirements:Pre-Employment Requirements: Reference check, Job History Verification, 2 years verifiable bar tending experienceEducation and/or Experience:TIPS, TAMS or ServeSafe certification desired ABC Training Certificate of ability to complete in 2 months of start dateHigh school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have or obtain Idaho food handlers permit within 2 weeks of start date2 years of verifiable bartending experience or 1 year of bartending and 1 or more years of high table volume servingPerformance Skills:Knowledge of applicable laws and regulationsKnowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktailsUnderstanding of unique and complementary flavor pairingsImpeccable customer service and social perceptivenessAbility to evaluate customer satisfaction and be responsiveAbility to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcoholAccountability in maintaining inventory and processing paymentsPhysical ability to stand or walk for long periods of timeGood communication skillsBe able to work as a team playerMust be self motivatedAbility to be coachedWillingness to learnAble to adapt to change in a constantly changing environmentSupportive of management and staffCertifications, Licenses, Registrations:TIPS, TAMS or ServeSafe certification.
